    Comments:

First, the bike weights 23.4 pounds out the bike shop door. I weighed it as soon as I got home. My carbon road bike with pedals and water bottles is 18.8 pounds. Relativly speaking, it is light for the price and the durability. I waited until I commuted to work for a full week before review. Ridden in rain, freezing rain and normal weather. I loaded it down with rack carrier, panniers, lights, ect and performs like a champ. 12 mile commute each way. Thumb shifters take a little to get used to but shifts are crisp. One thing I dont care for is all the granny gears. I understand it is to appeal to a larger group of customers, but come on. I also took off the rear chain guard, they look so...walmart. I like the all black paint. What else can I say, rolls easy, looks sweet, considered the Trek 7.5 and cannondale quick. Chose this due to lance armtrong's attachment to trek and the cannondale felt more comfort oriented then speed oriented. I changed the seat out (too heavy) and cut the handle bars shorter with a pipe cutter. Plan on adding more carbon components/wheel set.

I sold my road bike and bought this one. I can feel the benefits of the Sirrus Comp, such as comfortable riding position and the quick and precise response from the shifters. This bike is relatively fast too. I usually go for long rides (3 hours or more) and I can say that I have no problems on going out with this bike.

        Comments:

I bought this bike on November 30, 2011 at Orange Cycle in Orlando, FL...Thanks to Howard and his Staff (Andrew) for the great service and 15% discount! So, after doing tons of research on Cannondale, TREK and Specialized....specifically for my needs, the clear winner was the Specialized Sirrus Comp. The bike is light, well balanced and handles quite nicely. The light weight aluminum frame with carbon fork is supurb at absorbing shock from valley gutters and manhole lids! With a bad back and neck, this bike far exceeded my expectations...AND it comes with an adjustable stem...that was a nice bonus! Ajustments are quick and easy too! I usually ride 3 times a week between 25 to 40 miles per ride and this bike rides like a Thoroughbred!...the giddy-up is fast, the ride is super comfortable and its easy on the joints. What more could you want from a bike of this caliber. The only issue I can find is of a personal preference. The Shimano shifter style required you to use your right thumb on both gearing up or down. I prefer pushing with my thumb for gearing down and pulling with my index finger for gearing up....it's a personal preference. The SRAM X-7 derailleur is super smooth! I would highly recommend this bike to anyone who want to get the best performance/comfort for under $1,000.

The Sirrus Comp met all my needs - light, fast, straight handle bars to avoid a lot of bending (I've got a bad back), reasonable price, a joy to ride, good quality. I'm not looking to do any centuries, I just want a bike for daily exercise and occaisional longer rides.

Upgraded my 10 year old Cannondale mtn bike for the Specialized Sirius Comp. I've been riding it for 2 1/2 months and logged over 500 miles. It's comfortable, fast and handles great. Perfect bike for those not quite ready for the full carbon road bike.

I love this bike I gave it 5 stars because the price was good. I have a little trouble downshifting while climbing, I have spent as much as 4 hours in the saddle and it is very comfortable. Did I mention it looks beautiful, sometimes I just stand back and admire it's beauty

                Comments:

Use the sirrus mostly on paved surfaces. Handles well, and I get the speed and responsiveness I was looking for. Shifting is smooth. Off road not very good, back wheel fishtails easily. Probably a result of the 700c tires that are more compatible with the paved surfaces.
