Specialized's Roubaix Pro Tire is built for riders in search of speed, comfort, and handling. Its dual-compound tread provides low rolling resistance and outstanding cornering grip, while the large-volume, 120-tpi casing offers a smooth, comfortable ride. And, the Roubaix features Specialized's BlackBelt technology to ward off flats.
Had a lot of problems with flats on my wide rim road rims (HED Ardennes+) on Conti, Michelin, and Challenge tires. These have been great - roll almost as fast as the Pro4 Service Course, but much much more durable. 800 miles on them on pretty terrible roads, one flat, lots of life left.

I have gone through two sets of these tires and have had flats. Everytime it was because of something picked up in the road. It really is unfortunate the Specialized makes such an inferior tire. I have a 2008 Roubaix Expert Triple that came with the "Pro" series tires, you'd think Specialized would put a top quality tire on this bike. After one flat I bought another set of these tires, only to have another flat a few weeks later. I switched back to a tire that I used in the past and loved them--Continental Ultra GatorSkins.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend
