NiteRider Lumina Flare

NiteRider's Lumina Flare is a perfect all-in-one light solution. With 650 lumens of white light up front and 1 watt of red in the rear, you get the brightness of a powerful headlight combined with the safety and visibility of a taillight. And at just 177 grams, you won't even notice it's there! Attachment is easy, too, on handlebars up to 31.8mm in diameter or on top of your helmet. There are five modes to choose from: high, medium, low, energy-saving walk, and flash. Plus, you can charge it off a computer's USB port!

Features and Information

Comments:

I purchased this light for use as a daytime/dusk caution light when riding while pulling the kids in the Honey Bee. The flash mode is clearly visible in the brightest daylight. It also has an integrated red led tail light that is plenty bright to be seen, although I would suggest wearing a dedicated flasher or two if you plan on riding on the congested city streets at night. My previous lamp was a Schwinn MOD light system from way back in 1998 that used a Panasonic lead-acid battery and two xenon headlamps. This is three time the light at one third the cost.
