In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, BikeE is voluntarily recalling all 2000 and 2001 BikeE FX and 2001 BikeE RX Full Suspension bikes. If you own one of these BikeE models, immediately stop riding it! And, bring your bike to us or another authorized BikeE dealer for free recall service.
Two BikeE riders sustained minor injuries when the press-fit pins holding the 2-bar linkage of the suspension fork loosened and fell out. These pins are held in place by set screws. If these pins come out while you're riding, you could lose control of your BikeE, which could cause serious injury.
The fix is very simple and fast. Each linkage pin with a set screw needs to be replaced with a linkage pin with a circlip. If you have a BikeE that may be affected by this recall, bring your bike to us or any other authorized BikeE retailer for inspection. If your BikeE is affected, a new linkage kit will be installed, at no charge, that includes locking circlips for your safety.
Thank you for your cooperation!
